Due to fire safety concerns we have had to make the though decision to cancel Seed Exchange 2018.
2018 has been the driest warmest summer ever recorded in Denmark, with no rain at all for the past months. All the Seed Exchange food activities were supposed to happen inside our old wooden Hay Barn, and the chefs would have been cooking in the wood-fired oven and over open fire grills. After being in close dialogue with the fire authorities and the commune, the conclusion is that we don't want to take the responsibility of going through with the event.
We want to thank you very much for your support and hope to come back next year!
The free festival at Puglisi’s Farm 'Farm of Ideas' is open to everyone and brings people and seeds from far and near together to a celebration of the fruitful meeting of gastronomy and agriculture. There will in fact be exchanged seeds, but also, in more important terms, created room for inspiration for new sustainable practices in the meeting between local farmers, producers, seed collectors, enthusiasts and gastronomic stars.
